Lego Batman Movie Party – Free Printables

This Lego Batman Movie Party was one of the best I have thrown in a while. With Pinterest around these days, parties can become downright stressful with all the awesome ideas out there and you think – “oh that wont take too long, lets add it to the list”! I have wanted to scale things down for a while – still showing those I love a good time and lots of fun memories. I think we found the perfect balance and the kids LOVED it!

We had all the cousins over. We first had the kids watch the Lego Batman Movie (I just rented it from Red Box) – and if you haven’t seen it yet you totally should – the husband and I thought it was hilarious and very entertaining!

I got some of the small Lego packages from Walmart that are right around $5 for the kids to build a few things from, they chose a spot, sat down and got to business – and lets be honest, who doesn’t love to create with Legos?

I loved this because at all the parties I have thrown there are always kids who are not interested in the party games – allowing our Master Builders to build, took the stress off of me and they all loved it!

I think buying these little sets got them excited – they had instructions to follow and had a goal set in their minds. This was better than just giving them the tub of Legos for sure!

They felt so accomplished when they finished. This also got their creative juices flowing!

The older kids built the more intricate Batman and Robin Brick Headz – aren’t they cute?

We introduced the kids to this AWESOME Lego Tape – Peel-N-Brick Lego Tape from The BRICK Cave to be exact! It can be purchased on Amazon. I have a little more info on why we loved it HERE.

The kids went to town and honestly played for hours!

The food table was super simple – just the way I like it!

We had some cookies I just picked up at the store -( had I had more time I would have made some of our favorites) that went along with the free printable – this quote came from the Lego Batman Movie and was perfect – you can download the 5×7 HERE for free and print it. I usually just send it to Costco and throw it in a frame. (**Remember, you DON’T have to have a dropbox account, when it asks you to sign up, just click “no thanks” and it will take you right to the free printable.)

Cupcakes are such an easy option – chocolate cupcakes and butter cream frosting for Batman’s colors -we then added these fun super hero cake toppers for a quick option.

One of my favorite decorations of the whole party was utilizing our Lego Tape – the Lego construction workers were holding up the Happy Birthday sign, and some of the super heroes to celebrate too! The Lego Tape made it super easy and super cute!

Rather than ice cream we did a Dole Whip (which is kinda hard to photograph – it melts rather quickly!) – a sweet friend and reader Beki who I met over on Instagram sent me the recipe, and we all loved it! We put it in the small clear plastic cups, and then put that cup inside of these Lego Batman Movie cups we found at Walmart for .88 and all the kids got to take one home.

We also had some Doritos and watermelon slices. After watching the movie my son kept singing the Batman theme so I thought it would be fun to make a free printable of that too (if you have not clicked on the link above it is available there as well) – it was fun to see everyone start singing it as they were picking up their food 🙂

All in all we had a great time, and I did not stress a ton because we kept it simple yet super fun!

What is one of the best tips you have for keeping a party simple?

See the Happy!
